I received the following information for an easy way to cook hard “boiled” eggs that I thought I would pass along.
Heat your oven to 325 degrees. Place your eggs on their side in a muffin pan so their yolks stay in the middle and prevent them from rolling around.
Bake for 30 minutes. Remove eggs with Chef’s Tongs and immediately place in an ice bath. If doing a lot of eggs, fill your kitchen sink with ice water and place the eggs in the ice water. Allow eggs to cool and then peel. The eggs are easy to peel without any sticking or tearing.
It doesn’t matter if you are doing one egg or 24 eggs etc., the cooking time and oven temperature are the same.
This is an easy way to prepare eggs for potato salad, salad garnishes, deviled eggs, Easter egg hunts, and of course for sack lunches and breakfast.
